Absorbent Material

Drain Net Oil and Grease Absorbent is designed to contain and control hydrocarbons (oil-based liquids) while repelling water. Drain Net Oil and Grease Absorbent is made from wood pulp reclaimed from the manufacturing of paper products. Manufactured through a patented process, it absorbs oil immediately on contact while repelling water; it even floats when saturated.

Regardless of the "oil" contaminant and residual waste commonly used in food preparation environments, our Drain Net and/or Drain Screen Oil and Grease Absorbent will absorb cooking oils of various origin, whether deep fat fryer liquid waste, salad oil, vegetable oil, mineral oil, corn oil, fish oil, sunflower oil, canola (rapeseed) oil, olive oil, etc.

When liquid oil waste solidifies into grease, our Drain Net and/or Drain Screen Oil and Grease Absorbent product will blend with the "solid" to form a "cake" mixture which then can be disposed of as "solid-waste" as opposed to a semi-liquid state refuse. The hydrocarbons are absorbed into the cellulose fibers, preventing leaching and draining commonly associated with polypropylene sorbents. The performance attributes of Drain-Net Oil and Grease Absorbent make it ideal for clean-up of oil-based liquids in the presence of water. It is ideal for capturing grease and oily waste from restaurant floor drains.
